Internal‑wall corrosion‑resistant steel pipelines are pipe products based on carbon steel tubing, with an inert anti‑corrosion coating applied to the inner surface. They are suitable for conveying potable water, industrial water, crude oil, natural gas, sewage, and other media. The internal lining creates a physical barrier that separates the corrosive medium from the steel substrate, providing resistance against attack by chloride ions, hydrogen sulfide, and acidic or alkaline substances.
Plain bare steel pipes have a service life of only 3 to 5 years under corrosive conditions, whereas internally lined corrosion‑resistant pipelines can last 30 to 40 years. The smooth, non‑toxic inner surface prevents the formation of rust and scale, inhibits bacterial growth, and avoids contamination of the conveyed medium, meeting the requirements for food and potable water transport. With low internal roughness, these pipes reduce fluid friction, lower energy consumption, and significantly cut long‑term pigging and maintenance costs.
