Internal‑coated steel pipes are steel pipes with a specialized anti-corrosion lining on the inner surface, widely used in the petroleum, natural gas, chemical, and municipal water supply and drainage sectors. Our factory offers four types of internal lining technologies: fusion‑bonded epoxy (FBE), liquid epoxy, cement mortar lining, and polyurethane/polyethylene lining, suitable for handling a variety of corrosive media.
This pipe material effectively isolates the medium from corroding the steel pipe substrate, extending the pipeline’s service life and reducing subsequent operation and maintenance costs. Its smooth inner coating minimizes fluid resistance, resists scaling, and lowers pump energy consumption. All products are manufactured with dimensional tolerances kept within ±0.1 mm, and prior to shipment, they undergo nondestructive weld inspection, spark‑testing for leaks, and hydrostatic pressure testing. For applications involving high temperature, high pressure, strong acids and alkalis, or high salinity, custom‑designed anti‑corrosion lining solutions can be provided.
Product Overview
Internal‑coated steel pipe refers to a pipe whose inner wall has been treated with a specialized anti-corrosion lining. It is widely used in the petroleum, natural gas, chemical, and municipal water supply and drainage sectors. The lining isolates the corrosive medium from the pipe wall, preventing rusting and perforation, thereby significantly extending the service life of the pipeline. Depending on the specific operating conditions, various internal anti-corrosion coating processes can be selected.
Four Major Liner Types
Internal-wall fusion-bonded epoxy powder-coated steel pipe
It employs a fusion-bonded epoxy powder coating process, offering strong adhesion and excellent chemical resistance, making it suitable for oil and gas transmission pipelines.
Liquid epoxy-coated anti-corrosion steel pipe
A protective coating is applied by spray or roller application and is commonly used for water pipelines and chemical‑transport pipelines.
Cement-mortar-lined corrosion-resistant steel pipe
It is primarily used for municipal water supply and drainage pipelines, offering low cost and stable rust‑preventive performance.
Polyurethane/Polyethylene-lined Anti-Corrosion Steel Pipe
Suitable for highly corrosive service conditions, designed for the conveyance of acidic, alkaline, and saline solutions.
Core Product Advantages
Extend the overall service life of the pipeline.
The liner provides complete isolation from internal wall corrosion, reducing the need for frequent pipe replacements and significantly lowering long-term maintenance costs.
Enhance media transport efficiency
A smooth, corrosion‑resistant lining reduces fluid friction and inhibits the buildup of scale and fouling; for every doubling of the internal roughness of municipal water‑supply pipes, pump energy consumption increases by nearly 10%.
Strong adaptability to operating conditions
The internal lining formulation can be customized according to the temperature, corrosivity, and solid particle content of the conveyed medium, thereby meeting a wide range of engineering requirements.
Core Procurement Reference Standards
Anti-corrosion coating performance
Coating adhesion and long-term corrosion resistance in acidic environments are the key performance indicators; customers should select the appropriate lining type based on the characteristics of the conveyed medium.
Stringent machining accuracy
Dimensional tolerances are controlled within ±0.1 mm, and all welds undergo nondestructive testing to ensure the structural integrity of the pipeline.
Inner-wall smoothness and anti-scaling performance
The inner wall has low roughness, reducing fluid pressure loss and energy waste; conventional water supply and circulating pipes require periodic descaling every 3 to 5 years to prevent blockages.
Manufacturer’s Strength and Quality Control
Our factory is a specialized manufacturer of internally coated anti-corrosion steel pipes and can tailor lining solutions to suit a wide range of highly corrosive and harsh environments. Before leaving the factory, all finished products undergo comprehensive testing, including coating adhesion tests, spark‑testing for pinhole detection, and full‑range hydrostatic pressure endurance tests. Should any issues arise during use, we provide technical support and comprehensive after-sales services.
