1. Simple Version
Fabricated in full compliance with ASTM A252/A252M industrial standards, our LSAW steel pipe piles are premium structural steel components tailored for foundation and heavy civil engineering works. Adopting mature JCO forming and double-sided submerged arc welding techniques, these pipe piles deliver exceptional structural stability, superior axial compression capacity and strong bending resistance. The product line includes three distinct steel grades to accommodate varying load levels from general construction to heavy-duty infrastructure. Covering OD sizes of 219mm–3000mm and wall thicknesses of 6mm–40mm, these steel pipes support two common application forms: standalone load-bearing piles and concrete-filled composite piles for enhanced structural performance. Ideal for high-rise building foundations, bridge substructures, harbor terminals and offshore facilities. Multiple anti-corrosion surface treatments, including PE powder coating and hot-dip galvanization, are offered to extend service life in humid, saline and harsh marine environments.
2. Detailed Version
ASTM A252/A252M defines the technical requirements for carbon steel pipe piles (seamless and welded) dedicated to structural foundation support in civil and industrial construction. Our LSAW steel pipe piles are manufactured from high-quality carbon and low-alloy steel plates, utilizing precise JCO cold forming and automated double-sided submerged arc welding processes. Strict in-process quality control ensures unified structural rigidity, flawless weld integrity and long-term operational stability, making them far more suitable for foundation load-bearing scenarios than conventional pipeline steel tubes.
Three standardized steel grades are available to match diverse project load requirements. Grade 1 features 30,000 psi minimum yield strength and 50,000 psi tensile strength, perfectly suited for low-load residential and ordinary commercial building foundations. Grade 2 with 35,000 psi yield strength and 60,000 psi tensile strength meets the load demands of medium-sized civil construction and municipal infrastructure. Grade 3, the high-strength grade, provides 310MPa minimum yield strength and 455MPa tensile strength, serving critical heavy-load projects such as super high-rise buildings, cross-sea bridge piers and offshore engineering base structures.
We provide a comprehensive size range of LSAW pipe piles with outer diameters ranging from 219mm to 3000mm and wall thicknesses from 6mm to 40mm. All finished products follow strict dimensional tolerances: outer diameter deviation is controlled within ±1% of the nominal size, and wall thickness maintains no less than 87.5% of the standard specification. Every pipe pile undergoes rigorous post-welding inspections, including visual appearance checks and full non-destructive testing (NDT) to eliminate internal and surface welding defects. Different from API pipeline pipes that focus on low-temperature toughness, ASTM A252 pipe piles are optimized for static structural bearing, compression and bending resistance, fully fitting the working characteristics of foundation piling engineering.
These steel pipe piles feature flexible and versatile application modes. They can be used as independent permanent load-bearing piles or served as protective steel casings for cast-in-place concrete piles. Filling concrete inside the steel pipe can form a composite steel-concrete structure, effectively boosting overall bearing capacity, structural stiffness and seismic resistance. To adapt to corrosive working conditions like coastal areas, wetlands and marine environments, we supply customized anti-corrosion solutions including ordinary hot-dip galvanizing, deep hot-dip galvanizing and polyethylene powder coating. Widely adopted in building foundation works, bridge piling, port and terminal construction, offshore platform infrastructure and other heavy engineering fields, our ASTM A252 pipe piles comply with North American industrial standards and are available for global engineering projects and bulk procurement.
